Senate passes resolution calling for U.S. troop withdrawal from Iran

The U.S. Senate approved a resolution calling for the withdrawal of American forces from Iran within 30 days unless Congress decides otherwise. Four Republican senators crossed party lines to vote with Democrats in favor of the measure, with only Democratic Senator John Fetterman opposing it. While the resolution has no legal binding power, it represents symbolic opposition from both chambers of Congress to continued military operations in Iran. The vote may complicate President Trump's efforts to secure an additional $80 billion in funding to maintain forces in the region.
