US strikes 10 Iranian targets in Strait of Hormuz after oil tanker attack
US Central Command announced American fighter jets struck 10 Iranian targets in the Strait of Hormuz area, responding to an attack on an oil tanker near the Oman coast. The tanker, carrying 2 million barrels of oil, was hit yesterday. A merchant ship was also struck about an hour ago in the same area. The measured American response was stronger than the previous night's action, marking the second consecutive night of exchanges between the US and Iran in an escalating situation.
