Forces from the 55th Brigade Combat Team, operating under Division 91 in southern Lebanon, have discovered a significant cache of ready-to-fire rockets aimed at Israeli territory, the IDF announced.
During sweeps of the security zone, troops located a Hezbollah position containing a tunnel shaft alongside launch systems prepared for immediate use. The discovery included 32 rockets that had been positioned to target Israel and were left in place before the ceasefire agreement went into effect.
IDF forces destroyed both the tunnel shaft and the rockets. "The IDF will not allow the Hezbollah terror organization to harm Israeli citizens or its forces, and will continue to operate to remove threats while remaining committed to the ceasefire agreement," the military said.
