US deploying 10,000 troops and third aircraft carrier to Middle East

The United States is deploying approximately 10,000 additional soldiers to the Middle East, with three aircraft carriers to be stationed in the region. The Theodore Roosevelt carrier strike group and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit are being sent to the area, expected to arrive by the end of November. The Theodore Roosevelt will join the George Bush and George Washington as the third American aircraft carrier in the region. The force buildup is aimed at expanding US military operational options amid reports of potential increased strikes against Iran.
