According to official sources, American intelligence intercepted multiple streams of information during the final day of the NATO summit on July 8, 2026. The intelligence included a report of an individual spotted near the summit area carrying a shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missile, alongside a specific threat of a surface-to-air missile strike targeting the aircraft scheduled to transport the president.
The intelligence further indicated that Iranian operatives possessed highly precise information about Trump's whereabouts in Ankara, including the specific floor where he was staying in the building.
