Antisemitic Incident in France

Tourist Threatens Jews in French Store

Australian Jewish tourists recorded an Irish man making antisemitic threats in a French supermarket, including references to Hitler and a threat to shoot them

'Paddy from Ireland'

An Australian Jewish couple encountered a hostile exchange with a man in a French supermarket that escalated into antisemitic threats and hateful remarks, according to accounts circulated by the Australian Jewish Association and video footage now spreading on social media.

The couple were shopping when a man who introduced himself as "Paddy from Ireland" began a casual conversation. The exchange turned when the couple referenced Irish politics and Israel, at which point the man said he was "sorry that Hitler didn't finish the job."

The couple began recording. In the footage, the man can be heard threatening them, saying "You get the fuck away from me before I put a fucking bullet in your head," with some listeners also reporting comments including references to Hitler.

The Australian Jewish Association posted about the incident, noting the couple are friends of the organization. The video has since circulated widely across social media platforms including posts from accounts such as @AustralianJA and @VoteLewko. One of the individuals involved later provided additional context about the lead-up to the recorded portion.

No official police identification or mainstream media coverage of a formal investigation has emerged.
