During the Ephraim Brigade's excellence ceremony held this week, Efi Yiftach, the security coordinator of the community of Tzur Natan, received a moving surprise when he arrived from his rehabilitation at the hospital.
Following the severe terror attack that occurred at the seam line in the brigade's sector last June, in which brigade fighter Chaim Klumiti was killed and Yiftach was seriously wounded, the brigade commander presented him with a certificate of appreciation for the determination he displayed during the incident and for his dedication and work on behalf of the community and its residents over the years.
In the words of the Ephraim Brigade commander: "Efi the hero strove for contact, showed determination and did everything to save lives."
Yiftach spoke about Chaim: "Chaim was a good friend, an amazing person, an outstanding fighter who could always be relied upon."
