From Prison to Propaganda
“War Crimes?” Convicted Former PM Olmert Smears Israel on U.S. Radio
Ex-leader who went to jail for bribery now lectures Israel on morality — while Hamas holds hostages

Ehud Olmert, Israel’s disgraced former prime minister, took a break from political irrelevance this week to accuse his own country of committing “war crimes” in Gaza, during a softball interview with America’s NPR.
Olmert, who served time in prison for corruption, claimed that if Israel’s military campaign fails to return hostages and leads to Palestinian casualties, it amounts to a “crime.” He also attacked members of Israel’s war cabinet, accusing them of “calling to starve two million Gazans” — and then criticized Prime Minister Netanyahu for not denouncing them.
Let’s pause here.
While IDF soldiers risk their lives to rescue over 100 hostages held by a genocidal terror group, Olmert goes on American radio to call his own people war criminals. Not Hamas. Not the terrorists who kidnapped toddlers and elderly. Israel.
In case you forgot: this is the same Olmert convicted of bribery and breach of trust — the first Israeli prime minister ever to serve jail time. But apparently that’s the moral voice NPR wants to platform.
Israeli Minister of Education Yoav Kisch didn’t hold back:
“The convicted criminal joins the radical left’s international smear campaign against the Jewish state. Disgraceful.”
Olmert’s comments come as Israel continues its effort to dismantle Hamas, rescue hostages, and defend its citizens — despite mounting international pressure and endless double standards.
