Houthis Will Face Retribution

Report: Major Campaign Against Houthis Inevitable, Says Security Official

The surge in Houthi attacks on Israel, concurrent with progress in the Gaza deal talks, has pushed the security establishment to separate the two fronts. Officials say further, massive strikes against the Houthis are only a matter of time, regardless of a ceasefire with Hamas.

Following the interception of four Houthi UAVs over Eilat yesterday (Tuesday), Israeli security officials have solidified their decision to separate the military campaign in Gaza from the Houthi threat in Yemen. This decision comes despite attempts by the Houthis to link their aggression to the war in Gaza, as reported by Channel 12 today.

In the last 10 days alone, Houthis have launched 6 UAVs and 2 ballistic missiles toward Israel, highlighting a growing scale of attack.

The implication of the decision to separate the fronts is significant: Even if the war in Gaza ends, the IDF intends to execute several additional waves of strikes against the Houthis. The goal is to inflict damage in a way that has not yet been achieved since the conflict began.

A senior security official emphasized the commitment to a major military response against the Yemen-based group:

"It's impossible to link the deal talks to the Houthis," the official told N12. "Even if we end the war in Gaza - the campaign with the Houthis is not over. They will pay a heavy price for what they have done over the past two years. A major campaign on this front is not a question of if, but of when."

The air defense systems successfully intercepted all four UAVs launched at Eilat yesterday afternoon. Separately, alerts were activated in the northern Gaza envelope community of Netiv HaAsara yesterday morning due to a launch from the northern Strip, which reportedly fell in an open area with no injuries.

Senior Houthi official Aasruddin Amer said,

“On the second anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood, the blessed operation that began in steadfast Gaza will continue, God willing, until Israel is erased from the region.”
