Distress, But No Crisis
IDF senior officer: There's no hunger or close to it in Gaza
A discussion held by the IDF also revealed who is stealing humanitarian aid off of trucks.

The IDF held a high-level discussion today (Monday) regarding the condition of Gazan civilians, in the wake of the harsh international criticism and images making their rounds on social media.
According to Channel 12 reporter Yaron Avraham, "In this discussion, a senior IDF official said that: "There is no famine in Gaza and we're not close to that. There is distress, but there is no famine."
He also said that "relevant officials say that the main components lacking in the Strip are medical services and food.:
Regarding the multiple incidents of looting humanitarian trucks, IDF officers said that the 110 looting incidents were committed not "by Hamas personnel, but by three groups: Gazan residents, other armed gangs, and organized clans."
Finally, clear numerical information was provided regarding the distribution of aid to over half of Gazan civilians in the Gaza Strip via the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation:
"We can also report that after opening the first humanitarian aid distribution point, the three additional points will open according to Israel's assessment next Wednesday or next Friday.
"Each day, 85 trucks will enter, distributed among the 4 points and provide aid to 1.2 million Gazans.
"Incidentally, the location of Gazan residents throughout the Strip was also laid out in the discussion:
"Khan Younis and Mawasi area - 850,000 residents (where the first distribution point was also opened, at the connection between north of the Morag axis and Mawasi)
"Nuseirat area - 350,000
"Gaza City and its outskirts - 900,000
"Northern Strip (Gaza and northward): 110,000."
