Netanyahu’s “Foodland” plan aims to supply Gaza amid war tensions
According to current reports, the Prime Minister plans to establish a food zone in the area of the Morag Corridor, north of Rafah, in a "sterile area" cleared of Hamas terrorists.

Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Israeli government is planning to establish a "sterile" area to provide food aid to hungry Gazans, separate from Hamas, which Netanyahu has called "food land," according to Channel 14.
In a talk with wounded IDF soldiers, Netanyahu said that if a deal is not reached with Hamas, Operation Gideon's Chariots will be launched, and Israel will establish a zone near the Morag Corridor, north of Rafah, where local food industry can be established to feed the population.
Netanyahu said that at this sterile location, Palestinians could even establish a "Ben and Jerry's" ice cream plant if they want to.
The government is reportedly at odds in this matter with COGAT, the IDF's branch responsible for coordinating civilian operations and aid management in the Strip. COGAT wishes to establish food supply industry throughout the Gaza Strip, running contrary to the government's wishes to cut Hamas out of access to any aid, especially food and supplies.
