Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has called for a "deep and rapid" acceleration of scientific and technological progress, with particular emphasis on nuclear technology and military capabilities. Fars news agency, which is affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, carried his remarks.

"The experience of the two recent wars has demonstrated to everyone that this new scientific surge must be deep and rapid," Khamenei said.

The call follows direct warnings from Israel's leadership about Iran's nuclear ambitions. On October 21, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Iran is renewing its effort to build nuclear weapons under Mojtaba Khamenei. He argued that bringing down the regime is the only way to eliminate the threat permanently.

On the same day, Defense Minister Israel Katz said Israel had detected suspected attempts by Iran and its proxies to carry out attacks intended to influence the Israeli election scheduled for the following week. Speaking at a graduation ceremony for IDF officers, Katz warned: "If Iran attacks Israel, Iran will burn!"

Iran's military has also spoken publicly about its weapons production. On October 6, military spokesman Mohammad Akrami Nia said Iran produced new missiles and drones every day during what it calls the "Ramadan War," Iran's term for its recent war with Israel. He said Iran's forces now hold a large stockpile and that new weapons systems will be presented at an appropriate time.
