Ukrainian cruise missiles struck the Proton military plant in the Russian city of Oryol on Friday, hitting a facility that manufactures electronic components for Russian missile systems. New footage shows the moment of impact at the industrial complex, which is part of the supply chain for Russia's missile industry.
According to the Ukrainian military, the strike confirmed a hit on the main production building of the Proton Electrotex plant. The facility produces opto-electronic components and power components, including switching converters used in Iskander-M ballistic missiles, as well as parts for S-71 "Kober" cruise missiles. The company's products are also integrated into Russia's Pantsir S-1 air-defense systems.
