Massive 900kg Explosive Device Uncovered: IDF Reserves Neutralize Major Hezbollah Ambush Site
IDF reserve forces uncover a massive 900kg explosive device and a stockpile of Hezbollah rockets and mortars during operations in Southern Lebanon.

Forces from the 226th Reserve Paratroopers Brigade, operating under the command of the 146th Division, are currently conducting targeted operations south of the forward defense line. The mission is focused on dismantling Hezbollah infrastructure to prevent direct attacks on Israel's northern communities.

During a sweep of the sector, combat engineers and infantry located a concealed, booby-trapped pit. Inside, they discovered a massive explosive charge weighing 900 kilograms (approximately 1,984 lbs).
Military officials noted that the device appears to be an older explosive planted in the area previously, intended to be detonated against IDF armored vehicles or large concentrations of troops. The device was successfully neutralized before it could be triggered.
In a separate search of the same area, the forces uncovered a Hezbollah "stay-behind" position. The site contained mortar shells of various calibers, rockets staged and ready for launch and logistical equipment intended for long-term survival in the field.
According to the IDF, these weapons were positioned to target both operational forces in the region and civilian targets within Israel.
The discovery follows a string of similar finds as the 146th Division continues its methodical "cleansing" of the border region to ensure a safe return for the residents of the North.
