The IDF Northern Command executed a controlled demolition Tuesday afternoon of what military officials described as the longest terror tunnel infrastructure ever discovered in southern Lebanon. The massive underground network, identified during recent combat operations, required days of preparation before the detonation could be safely carried out.
The explosion generated seismic waves powerful enough to be felt throughout the Galilee region and as far as the Golan Heights. Defense establishment sources emphasized that Israel's national seismic monitoring system was actively tracking the event, and no earthquake alerts would be activated despite the magnitude of the blast.
