The fifth season of the Israeli series "Fauda" has climbed to the top of Netflix's most-watched rankings in Lebanon just two days after its release on the streaming platform, which is interesting (and curious) given that the season directly addresses the October 7th massacre.
According to data published by Israeli broadcaster yes, based on FlixPatrol, a site that tracks streaming viewership tables, the new season has already entered the top ten on Netflix in 43 countries worldwide.
Globally, the series currently ranks seventh. In both Israel and Lebanon, it holds the number one position.
The Lebanese achievement is particularly notable considering the season's content and the fact that this is the first season of the series distributed worldwide since the October 7th attack. The season includes a double flashback episode dedicated to the events of the massacre, for which the production team issued an unusual viewer warning.
The series is also finding success in other Arab and Muslim-majority nations. According to the data, it ranks sixth in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, eighth in Bahrain and Qatar, ninth in Egypt, and tenth in Turkey, Morocco, and Oman.
