Ahead of his much-anticipated concert at Tel Aviv’s Menora Mivtachim Arena, legendary singer Boy George is making a surprise first stop: the studio of the satirical show “Eretz Nehederet.”
On Tuesday night’s episode, comedian Tom Yaar will step into the shoes of the Culture Club frontman, complete with an oversized hat, colorful makeup and extravagant outfits.
The new impression is expected to riff on the British star’s longing for his Israeli fans, his excitement ahead of taking the stage in Tel Aviv, and, of course, the unmistakable style that has defined his career.
The show’s producers promise a hilarious performance offering a one-of-a-kind take on the international icon’s arrival in Israel. How the real Boy George will react to Yaar’s version remains to be seen.
