Rachel Szor and Yuval Abraham, the Israeli filmmakers behind the documentary NAZA, gave an interview to The Guardian's "Stateside" podcast, addressing the public storm their film has generated in Israel, including protests held outside Szor's parents' home.

Szor acknowledged the fear the backlash has caused. "Of course it's scary, we can't lie and say it's not," she said during the interview.

Beyond her own concerns, Szor said she feels distress over the fact that her family has been pulled into a controversy they did not choose. "When it reaches the family, of course it hurts," she shared, adding that she feels bad for dragging her parents into the affair.

Despite the sharp criticism and heated protests, Szor said the filmmakers are not surprised by the intensity of the response. "We made this film so people would talk about it, and we also received support from a small part of Israeli society that opposes Israel's policies over the years," she said.
