Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a video statement Tuesday in which he pledged that Iran will never obtain nuclear weapons.
"I'm heading out now to Kiryat Shmona, to the northern border," Netanyahu began. "I say to Iran and to Hezbollah: don't you dare attack us. You will receive a blow you never dreamed of."
The prime minister then turned to the Iranian nuclear threat and the upcoming Israeli elections. "But more than that, President Trump said the day before yesterday what is at stake in these elections. He said the Iranian threat must be removed once and for all. Iran is now trying to restart its nuclear program. He said that only with me will he take action to end this threat once and for all. And that depends on you. I call on you to vote, the day after tomorrow, to vote for me."
Netanyahu concluded: "Because Iran will not destroy us --- we will destroy the ayatollahs' regime. As long as I am prime minister, Iran will not have nuclear weapons."
