Haredi Public Party: staying in the race

Eight days before the election, Moti Leitner rejects withdrawal offers and declares his party will run to the end

Not Taking a Risk: Haredi Public Party Chairman Vows to Stay in Race

With eight days until the election, Moti Leitner, chairman of the Haredi Public Party, has issued a definitive statement shutting down speculation about a possible withdrawal from the race.

In an interview with journalists Sefi Ovadia and Yanir Kozin, Leitner addressed behind-the-scenes contacts and various attempts to end his candidacy. He revealed that significant offers have been placed on the table: "There are very generous value-based proposals, offers that touch on haredi education, high-level secular studies for those who want them, advancement of higher education and employment."

Despite being approached by various political actors, Leitner made clear he has no intention of abandoning his Knesset bid. "There's talk like sand and nothing to eat, we're running to the end," he stated firmly.

Asked again about concerns over wasted votes and the pressure being applied on him to withdraw in the campaign's final stretch, Leitner closed with a dramatic declaration clarifying his faction's course of action: "Running to the end. We don't have the privilege to take a risk on our future."
