Trump: Iran nuke sites buried in rock

US president says no American strike expected today, claims Iran not rebuilding facilities hit in recent attacks; State Department confirms partial evacuation of Riyadh embassy staff amid regional escalation

President Trump

US President Donald Trump said Sunday that no American strike on Iran is expected during the day, amid ongoing tensions between the two countries.

In an interview with Fox News, Trump claimed Iran is not making significant efforts to rebuild the nuclear facilities damaged in American strikes.

"We know exactly what's happening at Fordow," Trump said, referring to the underground enrichment site. According to him, three additional nuclear facilities have been destroyed, and the bombed sites are "covered in thousands of tons of rock."

He added that the US continues monitoring the sites through satellite imagery.

Separately, the State Department confirmed it has ordered the partial evacuation of embassy staff and their families from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, against the backdrop of fighting between Saudi forces and the Houthis in Yemen.
