IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir clarified on Tuesday that the military is prepared for any scenario, stating that Israel's recent strikes on Iran this week served as preparation for a far heavier and more significant retaliation.

His remarks come just over a day after a brief round of fighting with Iran. During a visit to "Fire Series" training exercises in the north, Zamir emphasized that the military remains highly vigilant.

"The Iranian attempt to establish equations and change reality will fail. The strike we carried out in Iran was preparation for a much more significant and heavy blow. We are ready to return and land another severe and deep strike on Iran."- IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir

The Chief of Staff added that all defensive and offensive arrays remain in immediate readiness to resume combat operations against Iran, highlighting the rapid interception of threats and the speed of Israel's response.

Zamir noted that the IDF's focus extends across multiple fronts, with ongoing military operations aimed at degrading the Hezbollah terrorist organization and protecting northern Israeli communities.

The Chief of Staff's comments were delivered during his visit to a battalion-level training exercise led by the National Ground Training Center. The ongoing "Fire Series" exercises are designed to train future company and battalion commanders for active combat.

Zamir was accompanied on the visit by Ground Forces Commander Major General Nadav Lotan, National Ground Training Center Commander Brigadier General Eliad Moati, the Commander of the 38th Division, and the Head of the Operations Division, Brigadier General Sharon Altit.
