In an effort to thwart an imminent large-scale rocket attack, the Israeli Air Force has launched a series of powerful pre-emptive strikes against Hezbollah targets across Lebanon. Under the "Lion’s Roar" operational framework, Israeli jets targeted the group's central command headquarters in Beirut, alongside weapon warehouses and dozens of launch sites in the Bekaa Valley. The operation was triggered by intelligence reports suggesting that Hezbollah was preparing to launch one of its most significant barrages of the war, aimed at both northern and central Israel.

Disruption and Destruction

The IDF spokesperson confirmed that the strikes targeted "Hezbollah terrorist organization headquarters in Beirut," continuing the work that began during overnight raids. Beyond the capital, the focus shifted to the Bekaa Valley, a known stronghold for long-range projectiles. Military forces destroyed three specific launch sites that had been prepared for immediate use against Israeli cities. Additionally, dozens of infrastructure targets and weapon storage facilities were leveled. These strikes are designed to disrupt Hezbollah's "concentration of effort," making it significantly harder for the group to coordinate the massive synchronized salvos it had planned for the evening hours.

Preparing for the Escalation

As the air campaign continues, the IDF remains on high alert for any retaliatory fire. The intelligence branch identified "increased preparations" by the terrorist organization to carry out rocket launches in the coming hours, with some local leaders in Israel warning of an attack as early as 19:00. The military has increased its aerial and intelligence focus to intercept these threats at the source. While many launchers were destroyed, the IDF warns that the threat remains active, and the air defense systems are fully deployed to protect the Israeli home front from the expected response.
