With the ceasefire appearing to hold firm, Israel is now taking stock of its achievements in the nearly two-week long Operating Rising Lion. According to multiple defense sources, here's what Israel succeeded in doing:
- Destroying up to 1,000 ballistic missiles and 65% of Iran’s missile launchers. Iran now has an estimated 1,000–1,500 missiles left, less than half of its original arsenal.
- Striking Iran’s nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, causing severe damage. 15 nuclear scientists and top Iranian security officials, including the IRGC commander, were eliminated.
- 80% of Iran’s air defense network was destroyed, including 80 anti-aircraft batteries. The Israeli Air Force maintains complete aerial superiority; no aircraft were downed, and no pilot rescues were needed.
