Fitness icon and Trump supporter Jillian Michaels abruptly walked off the set of the panel show Her Take during a live episode on September 23, 2025, after co-host Ana Kasparian launched into a vicious critique of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza. The confrontation, which has since gone viral with over 1 million views across platforms, stemmed from a discussion about conspiracy theories surrounding the recent death of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, but quickly pivoted to Israel's policies amid the ongoing Gaza conflict.

Her Take, hosted by Michael, features a rotating panel of women including Kasparian (co-host of The Young Turks), Lindy Li, and Amy Dangerfield, tackling topics like politics, culture, and current events. The episode began with the panel addressing far-right claims, promoted by figures like Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson, that Israel or Netanyahu orchestrated Kirk's death to silence his conservative activism. Kasparian dismissed these theories as baseless, stating, "There are conspiracy theorists who think Israel killed Charlie Kirk. They have yet to provide a shred of evidence proving that. Done. End of story." However, she then shifted to broader criticisms, accusing Netanyahu of exploiting Kirk's death for political gain and wrapping himself in Judaism to deflect accountability (whatever that means).

Tensions escalated as Kasparian declared, "This whole thing is ridiculous... Netanyahu is lying about the nature of his relationship with Charlie Kirk," and repeatedly labeled Israel's actions in Gaza as "genocide," emphasizing civilian casualties and calling for unfiltered criticism of the country. Michaels, a vocal pro-Israel advocate who has previously defended the nation's right to self-defense, interjected repeatedly, demanding "a shred of evidence" for the claims and expressing frustration that the conversation devolved into what she saw as anti-Israel bashing. "There’s zero evidence to suggest, none zero!" Michaels shot back, before standing up, removing her microphone, and declaring, "I don’t know how every show ends up being about how do we bash Israel? This is not for me. I am not interested in this. I love you guys, I’m sorry."

As Michaels exited, Kasparian responded sarcastically, "Let’s be good. Let’s be good about precious Israel! Let the country commit a genocide." Li and Dangerfield attempted to pivot to lighter topics, with Dangerfield joking about "furries" influencing the discourse, but the moment had already derailed the broadcast.

Kasparian, whose Armenian heritage ties her to discussions of genocide through her family's history with the 1915 Armenian Genocide, has been a consistent critic of Israel, previously clashing with Piers Morgan in June 2025 by shouting, "I know genocide when I see it!" and "Literal children are getting shot in the face!" She has faced threats and doxxing for her views, as detailed in a Young Turks segment.

Michaels' exit has polarized social media, with pro-Israel users like Eyal Yakoby praising her for confronting "evidence-free" claims and Emily Schrader celebrating it as a stand against "nut job" bias.

Kasparian addressed the fallout on The Young Turks the following day, defending her comments as necessary truth-telling amid threats she receives for criticizing Israel. Michaels has not publicly commented since, though allies have framed her walkout as real courage.
