Despite a formal ceasefire agreement, the northern border remains an active war zone as Hezbollah launched another six rockets toward the city of Kiryat Shmona.

The relative silence of the northern border was shattered on Thursday evening as Hezbollah terrorists launched a series of six rockets toward Kiryat Shmona and surrounding Galilee communities. The attack highlights the extreme fragility of the current diplomatic environment, where fire continues to rain down on Israeli civilians despite international efforts to stabilize the region. The IDF remains in a state of high alert, monitoring for any further attempts to breach the safety of northern residents during this volatile period.

According to the Kiryat Shmona municipality and military sources, three of the incoming projectiles were successfully intercepted by the Iron Dome aerial defense system. The remaining three rockets landed in uninhabited open areas, preventing any immediate physical casualties or structural damage within the city limits. This latest barrage follows a month of relentless fire that has forced thousands of Israelis to remain in bomb shelters or relocate from their homes near the Lebanese frontier.

Earlier on Thursday, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit released data on the military's ongoing offensive against the terror organization. Israeli forces reported the destruction of over 65 individual Hezbollah infrastructures across southern Lebanon, ranging from weapon storage facilities to underground tunnel entrances. The military also confirmed that at least 20 Hezbollah terrorists were eliminated in targeted strikes throughout the day, as Israel continues its "surgical" effort to dismantle the group's elite leadership.

The persistent fire from Lebanon serves as a blunt reminder that the terror organization has not abandoned its "Galilee Invasion" plans. Intelligence sources indicate that Hezbollah is attempting to maintain a war of attrition to drain Israeli resources and morale while international negotiations proceed in Washington. For the residents of the north, the sounds of sirens and interceptions have become a daily reality that contradicts the "ceasefire" rhetoric being discussed in distant world capitals.

Israeli security officials have warned that the military response to these violations will remain severe. The government has authorized the IDF to maintain a 7 to 8-kilometer buffer zone within Lebanon to prevent anti-tank missile fire and ground infiltrations. Until the threat from Hezbollah's suicide drones and rocket arrays is permanently neutralized, the IDF vows to continue flattening the terror villages that have been used as launchpads for attacks against the Jewish state.

As the week concludes, the focus remains on whether the Lebanese state can exert any real authority over the armed factions within its borders. Without a definitive disarmament of the terror group, the cycle of rockets and retaliatory strikes appears destined to continue. The world is watching the northern front with intense scrutiny, fearing that a single miscalculation during these "limited" exchanges could ignite a far more destructive and widespread regional war.
