Fire and Rescue services worked for nearly an hour to extricate two passengers who were pinned inside the wreckage of the overturned bus. Both have since been freed and handed over to medical teams for urgent care.

Due to the remote location and the number of casualties, the Air Force and MDA have dispatched helicopters to the scene. The more seriously injured are being airlifted to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba to bypass the winding desert roads and ensure rapid treatment.

The police have closed portions of the route near Mitzpe Ramon to allow emergency vehicles and aircraft access to the site. Commuters are advised to expect significant delays in the area as the investigation into whether the crash was caused by a mechanical failure or road conditions begins.
