After an explosive device was placed near the settlement of Homesh, wounding two Israelis on Friday, nine shooting attacks were carried out in Samaria.

The Islamic Jihad published a documentation of the Homesh attack which included shooting and detonation of an explosive device. The documentation is very similar to videos distributed by Hamas from battles in Gaza.

During the IDF's operation in Tulkarm, terrorists from the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades - the military arm of the Fatah movement headed by Mahmoud Abbas, detonated a powerful explosive device targeting a D9 bulldozer that was engaged in exposing underground tunnels and managed to disable the vehicle. No injuries were reported to IDF soldiers.

Following the attack in Homesh, terrorist organizations in Samaria launched a series of additional shooting attacks against settlements and military checkpoints in the area.

Over the span of Friday night, the settlement of Avnei Hefetz, the Beit Purik checkpoint, the outpost on Mount Gerizim, the Huwara checkpoint, the military force at the Git checkpoint that was opened this week, the Ganot checkpoint near the settlement of Shavei Shomron, the military post in Tzofim, the Salem checkpoint in Gilboa, as well as soldiers near the Nitsanei Oz checkpoint were the targets of terrorist gunfire.
