"He Chased Us and Rammed Us Off the Cliff": Survivor of Samaria Terror Attack Recalls Horrific Ordeal
"He rammed us off the cliff." Daniel Sherman, survivor of the Samaria terror attack, recounts the harrowing moments a pickup truck ambushed him and his brother, Yehuda, near Homesh.

From his hospital bed, Daniel Sherman, a veteran IDF fighter and farm owner, shared a chilling firsthand account of the terror attack near Homesh on Saturday that claimed the life of his brother, Yehuda Sherman.
According to Daniel’s testimony, what was initially reported as a potential road accident has been firmly identified by survivors and local leaders as a premeditated "ramming" terror attack.
The brothers were conducting a security patrol around their farm, "Shuva Yisrael," when a white pickup truck lying in wait began its pursuit.
"I went down sharp asphalt descent when I spotted a white Arab pickup truck waiting for me at the side of the road," Daniel recalled. "The moment I passed him, he performed a U-turn and chased after me. He accelerated toward me at a sharp curve near a cliff and simply rammed us, throwing us off the edge."
The vehicle plummeted down the cliff, leaving both brothers unconscious. Daniel regained consciousness about a minute later, severely injured but desperate to find his brother.
"I saw my brother lying next to me. I shouted his name several times, but he didn't respond. That gave me the strength to drag my broken body toward him," Daniel said. He discovered Yehuda was struggling to breathe and performed emergency first aid to open his airway.
As they lay wounded at the bottom of the ravine, the situation turned even more dire. Daniel reports that a mob from a nearby village arrived at the scene, not to help, but to harass the victims. "They started screaming, cursing us, and throwing stones at us while we were lying there injured. By a miracle, I managed to call for help."
Demands for Clarity and Security
Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, issued a sharp demand to the security establishment to officially classify the event as a terror attack and respond accordingly.
"Do not stutter. Announce clearly that this was a terror attack," Dagan stated. "Treat the terror infrastructure in northern Samaria exactly as you would after any major attack. It is the role of the IDF and the security forces to act against these terrorists; it is our role as citizens to demand security and to further strengthen the settlements."
The "Shuva Yisrael" Farm
Daniel Sherman is a released IDF soldier, married and a father to a young daughter. His farm, "Shuva Yisrael," was named in memory of two fallen soldiers: Shuval Ben-Natan, who fell in Lebanon while serving in Daniel's unit, and Israel Yudkin, Daniel's former commander who fell in Gaza.
Tragically, the farm's namesake legacy now includes Daniel’s own brother, Yehuda, who was murdered in yesterday’s attack.
