Speaking at the Globes Infrastructures Conference, Egged CEO Gilad Riklin said that the overwhelming majority of Israelis want buses to be electric, and that the plan is to have a fully electric bus fleet by 2035, according to reporting by Globes.

He also noted that there is a gap between the demand and the needed infrastructure such as charging stations or parking lots, which may hamper the green effort.

Riklin provided general information on Egged's operations, which include transportation operations outside the country in places like Holland and Poland.
