According to the report, Israel's move to begin evacuating civilians in preparation for a planned invasion of the city was accepted during the meeting last night.

After the collapse of negotiations for a deal to release hostages in exchange for a ceasefire, it was decided that there was no escape from the planned invasion and the cabinet ordered the evacuation of the city.

The decision was made with the support of all the war cabinet ministers and security officials, and was passed by a unanimous vote of all those present.
