Israeli police and Shin Bet forces apprehended a terrorist suspected in a ramming attack near Kfar Yona, following a three-day manhunt. The suspect, who fled after the Thursday morning attack at the Beit Lid junction near Route 57, was found hiding on a crane at a construction site and was taken into custody after being brought to the ground, according to the Israel Police Spokesperson.

The operation involved hundreds of police officers, Border Police fighters, civilian rapid response teams, and special units, utilizing helicopters, canine units, mounted police, and advanced technology. Police Commissioner Danny Levi oversaw the manhunt from a field command post, directing national units to deploy all necessary resources to capture the suspect.

Border Police Commander Superintendent Brik Yitzhak praised the effort, stating, “Three days of uncompromising pursuit ended with the terrorist detained on the ground. Our fighters, volunteers, and special units proved there is no safe haven for those who seek to harm Israeli citizens.” Central District Commander Superintendent Yair Hatzroni, who conducted a situation assessment at the arrest site, commended the coordinated efforts of district and national units, including the Shin Bet and negotiation teams.

The attack on Thursday injured eight pedestrians at a bus stop, with two in moderate condition, three in mild to moderate condition, and three in mild condition. All were evacuated to Laniado Hospital in Netanya for treatment of head and limb injuries, where they underwent further medical evaluations.
