An IDF spokesperson elaborated on al-Zari'i's role within Hamas: "The production headquarters he was part of works to enhance Hamas's weapons capabilities, including through knowledge exchange with other terrorist organizations across the Middle East.

This operation marks a significant blow to Hamas's leadership structure and comes amidst ongoing tensions in the region.

The IDF's decision to target an official responsible for economic affairs underscores Israel's strategy of disrupting Hamas's civilian governance capabilities alongside its military operations.
