Israeli security officials have issued an urgent travel warning after discovering that the terror cell behind last week's assassination of Rabbi Tzvi Kogan in Dubai is now planning attacks in Southeast Asia, with Thailand identified as a primary target.
"We've received concrete intelligence that this cell is actively planning their next move," a senior Israeli security official said Sunday. The warning marks a significant escalation from initial concerns raised just days ago on November 24.
The National Security Council (NSC) has issued the following guidelines for Israelis in Southeast Asia:
1. Stay away from Israeli and Jewish establishments
2. Exercise extreme caution in public spaces, including restaurants, hotels, and bars
3. Avoid displaying any Israeli or Jewish identifiers
4. Cooperate with local security forces and report suspicious activity immediately
5. Don't post travel plans or real-time updates on social media
6. Set all social media profiles to private
7. Never share information about military service history with strangers or online
"We're seeing a clear shift in tactics," said a regional security analyst who requested anonymity. "After successfully targeting a high-profile figure in Dubai, this cell appears to be expanding its operational range into Southeast Asia."
This warning comes just ten days after Rabbi Kogan's murder in Dubai, an incident that sent shockwaves through Jewish communities across the Middle East and Asia.
