The IDF Spokesperson revealed today (Thursday) details of a wave of attacks in Syria, during which an advanced missile system was destroyed, including the Iranian-made Noor anti-ship cruise missile, OSA-2 systems, STYX sea-to-sea missiles, and TIR-2 missiles.

The Noor cruise missile, which was inspired by the Chinese C-802 missile, represents the spearhead of the Iranian missile industry. With a total weight of 715 kg and a warhead of 165 kg, the missile excels at a long range of up to 170 km in its improved version.

Its impressive length of 39.6 meters and diameter of 36 centimeters allow for the integration of advanced propulsion systems, including a primary rocket accelerator and a turbojet engine.

The Noor excels in its highly accurate attack capability, with an estimated 98% chance of hitting. The missile incorporates advanced technologies to evade defense systems, including flying at a low altitude of 20-30 meters above sea level, and dramatically lowering to 5-7 meters in the final attack phase.
