Shocking: 22-Year-Old Plotted to Kidnap IDF Soldier to Force War Deal
A 22-year-old man from Tayibe has been indicted for allegedly plotting to kidnap an Israeli soldier to leverage an end to the ongoing war. He is now facing charges of preparing a terrorist act and kidnapping for ransom

A 22-year-old man from Tayibe has been indicted for allegedly planning to abduct an Israeli soldier to use as a bargaining chip to force an end to the current war.
The indictment, filed by the Central District Attorney's Office (Criminal), states that the suspect, Amin Hassan Abd al-Qader, planned the kidnapping and attempted to recruit accomplices. The document alleges he engaged in military training, including paintball sessions, and browsed Hamas-affiliated social media accounts and channels, such as "Al-Qassam Martyrs' Brigade."
According to the prosecution, the suspect also sought religious approval for his plan, asking an individual if it was permissible under Islamic law to kidnap people for ransom. He also allegedly tried to acquire weapons and tactical gear, ordering items like a tactical vest and a two-way radio online.
The indictment charges Abd al-Qader with preparing to commit a terrorist act, specifically kidnapping for murder or extortion. Prosecutors have requested that he be held in custody until the end of legal proceedings, citing the danger he poses as a citizen allegedly acting against the state, especially during wartime.
