IT'S ABOUT TIME! Israel Katz convenes forum to discuss eliminating Hamas governance
Defense Minister Israel Katz has begun a subcommittee of the security cabinet meant to form government policies on destroying Hamas governing capabilities, in line with Israel's war aims.
Defense Minister Israel Katz held the first meeting of the security cabinet today (Thursday), meant to discuss the destruction of Hamas' governing capabilities in the Gaza Strip, in line with the government's war aims of destroying the terrorist group's ability to fight or rule the Strip.
The "forum" included Justice Minister Yariv Levin, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, National Missions Minister Orit Strook, as well as Minister Zeev Elkin, IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, and other senior officials in the Defense Ministry.
The forum discussed the actions taken thus far to harm Hamas governance of the Gaza Strip and looked at additional steps to harm Hamas' military and governance capabilities.
The Defense Ministry statement said that the forum would convene "frequently," a sign of Katz's determination to destroy Hamas as an organized force in the Gaza Strip militarily and governance-wise.
