WATCH: We mean it, buster! IDF blows up car trying to bypass Gaza inspection
The IDF confirmed that it has destroyed a vehicle trying to bypass inspection on its way north.

The IDF confirms that it struck and destroyed a Palestinian vehicle today (Sunday) trying to use the pedestrian route to the northern Gaza Strip in order to avoid inspection for weapons.
As the vehicle was moving along the coast, the IDF said this was a violation of the ceasefire and destroyed it. According to Palestinian sources, at least one person was killed in the strike.
Watch:
As part of the hostage deal with Hamas, following a number of initial hostage exchanges, Israel would allow displaced Gazans in the humanitarian zone to move back north to their homes.
Pedestrians would be allowed to move along the coast without being inspected for weapons and military equipment, while vehicles would have to be inspected by an American company overseen by Egyptian and Qatari officials.
Originally, the two routes were meant to open up on January 22, but the failure of Hamas to release Arbel Yehud led Israel to keep the route north closed, insisting that only her guaranteed and expedited release would allow for Gazans to move back home.
Following intense negotiations, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad agreed to release Arbel Yehud and two others ahead of time, and release three living men on the scheduled release date on Saturday.
Questions linger as to whether Israel will truly move onto the second and third phases of the hostage deal, which would require Israel to declare a permanent end to the war.
One report stated that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened a consultation Friday about restarting the war once the first phase is over, and has instructed the IDF to prepare operational plans to that effect. Meanwhile, mediator Qatar is working hard to ensure the deal is seen through to the end.
All Arab states have rejected President Donald Trump's proposal to relocate the displaced Gazan population to Egypt and Jordan as destabilizing and unjust, and insist on keeping them where they are and rebuilding the Strip.
