Deported terrorists stranded in Egypt after promised destinations refuse entry
Released terrorists from Israeli jails are stuck in a Cairo hotel as host countries backtrack on their commitments.

Seventy Hamas terrorists who were released from prison in Israel and deported to Egypt as part of the hostage deal are still staying in a hotel in Cairo. The countries that have committed to absorbing them have not yet agreed to do so.
"Until this moment, no Arab country has agreed to accept even one released Palestinian prisoner and one deportee," a source in the Palestinian Prisoners' Authority told Ynet. "Turkey will accept the Jerusalem expellees only after checking their background."
According to the source who spoke to Ynet, all the released terrorists are in a hotel in Egypt, from which they are not allowed to leave. He described it as a transition "from a prison in Israel to a prison in Egypt," in which Hamas is silent and does not publicly pressure countries such as Qatar and Turkey to speed up the process of their absorption.
The same source said that the terrorists had been in prison clothes for a long time and the flip-flops they received in prison. "The Egyptians don't treat them in an embracing way," he added.
Among the Arab countries recently mentioned as intended to absorb deported prisoners, apart from Egypt, are Algeria, Turkey, Tunisia, and Qatar.
