Israel's Prime Minister's Office announced this evening (Saturday) that a delegation of negotiations will leave for Doha, the capital of Qatar, this coming Monday, at the request of the mediators and with the backing of the United States.

In addition, after a series of rumors and contradictory reports in the Arab media, a source familiar with the details reported that, contrary to the Arab media, there is no agreement between Israel and Hamas on a temporary ceasefire during Ramadan.

Earlier in the evening, sources told the Saudi Al-Arabiya TV that Hamas had informed the mediators that it agreed to a temporary ceasefire during the Ramadan period. This is in contrast to earlier reports that the negotiations had reached an impasse.

According to reports published in recent days, the Trump administration is holding direct talks with the terrorist organization and discussing with it the possibility of releasing a number of hostages alive, mainly Americans, in exchange for extending the ceasefire during the month of Ramadan.

Channel 14's political correspondent Tamir Morag reported that there are elements in Israel who do not 'like the idea' that the United States is dealing directly with the terrorist organization without Israeli involvement, and on the other hand, there are other Israeli elements who claim that the talks could be beneficial, if they lead to the release of the hostage Ido Alexander.
