Two people were murdered and one lightly injured in a rolling incident in northern Israel on Friday, involving stabbing and ramming, with authorities treating it as a security-related terror attack. The suspect was arrested near Afula after fleeing the scenes.
According to Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency services, a man in his 70s was fatally run over on Shomron Street in Beit She'an. A 16-year-old Yeshiva student was also struck by a vehicle on Yakov Mekhluf Street in the same city and evacuated to HaEmek Hospital in light condition. On Road 71 near Ein Harod, a young woman approximately 20 years old was found with penetrating wounds and evacuated in critical condition; she later succumbed to her injuries.
After ramming the woman's vehicle, the attacker forced her from the car, pursued her and killed her in a roadside ditch, as reported by Open Source Intel.
Another woman in her 30s was found unconscious on the same road and pronounced dead at the scene.
At least five additional Israelis were reported wounded at other locations along the route of the attacker.
The Emek Yizreel Regional Council stated: "Following the incident in the Beit She'an area, it appears to be a security event involving a ramming attack. The terrorist continued toward Tel Yosef and was neutralized near Afula. There are currently heavy traffic loads in the area of Road 60 in Afula in both directions. The public is asked to travel on alternative routes as much as possible and follow the instructions of security forces and remain vigilant as always."
