Mali and Liel Yahalomi land at Ben Gurion after weeks of uncertainty. Brother Moshe responds to public criticism over media coverage: We're private people and this is difficult,

Mally and Liel Yahalomi

Moshe Yahalomi, brother of Mlli Yahalomi, gave an interview Wednesday on Channel 12 News and spoke about the return of his mother and sister to Israel.

"My sister contacted us and said she would be coming back. We didn't know the exact date, but there had been talk about their return to the country," he said.

"We really appreciate the people of Israel and the media who were with us in those first days of uncertainty, but in the end we are anonymous people and the situation is hard [for us]."

Earlier, Maariv reported that after it was claimed the pair had been identified in Namibia, which later turned out to be incorrect, Mali and Liel landed at Ben Gurion Airport. They had boarded a flight earlier from Athens back to Israel.
