Security forces and engineering specialists began investigating a cave discovered Shabbos by a resident in Horshim, a settlement in the Ephraim Brigade area of Samaria.
The cave was dug without an exit point and has no continuation, according to initial findings from the investigation. The IDF has ruled out the possibility that it is a tunnel.
Digging tools were found inside the cave, but no weapons or combat equipment were discovered either inside or in the surrounding area.
An IDF spokesperson said that "investigation of the findings and searches around the location are ongoing."
