Two weeks to election

Winter still below threshold in new poll

Third consecutive poll shows Ofer Winter's Amcha Yisrael stuck below the threshold. Right bloc far from 61 seats; Eisenkot could form minority government or coalition with Arab parties.

Two weeks before the election, Ofer Winter is in trouble. A new Walla poll conducted by the Lazar Institute shows his Amcha Yisrael party still below the 3.25% threshold needed to enter the Knesset.

According to the poll, the opposition bloc leads the right by five seats but still cannot assemble a coalition without the Arab parties.

The opposition numbers: Eisenkot's Yashar receives 22 seats, Bennett and Lapid's Beyachad party with 13, Yair Golan's Democrats 10, and Avigdor Liberman's Yisrael Beiteinu 9, in a total of 54 seats.

In the right bloc: Netanyahu's Likud receives 20 seats, Itamar Ben-Gvir's Otzma Yehudit 8, United Torah Judaism under Yaakov Asher 8, Aryeh Deri's Shas 7, and the Religious Zionism party of Smotrich and Feiglin 6, making a total of 49 seats.

Hendel and Zelekha's party receives 4 seats and is not aligned with either bloc.

The Arab parties receive 13 seats: 8 for the Joint List and 5 for Ra'am under Mansour Abbas.

Yesterday's polls on Channel 12 and Channel 14 also showed Winter failing to cross the threshold, with no significant change in the blocs and neither side reaching the 61 seats needed to form a government.

The possible scenarios are a minority government led by Eisenkot (requiring the Arab parties to abstain), a political stalemate leading to another round of elections, or a breaking of the blocs to form a unity government.
