A man in his 40s was found dead this morning on a jogging trail in the Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood of Jerusalem. A runner who was training on the Nahal Zamri trail discovered the body lying motionless and called emergency services. Magen David Adom paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

The incident occurred at approximately 9:05 a.m. on Moshe Tajer Street in the Nahal Zamri park area. A resident who had gone out for his regular morning run on the park trail noticed the man lying without movement and immediately alerted emergency and rescue forces.

MDA teams arrived quickly at the scene and conducted extensive medical checks, but were forced to pronounce his death on site.

Body released directly for burial from the scene

ZAKA volunteers from the Jerusalem district were called to the scene.

Jerusalem district commander Rabbi Benzion Oiring, together with team head Shuki Beker and volunteer Yitzchak Roth organized the complex procedures at the scene and the body was released for burial directly from the location, without the need to transfer it to the forensic medicine institute at Abu Kabir.
