Israel Police announced Wednesday that three intersections in central Tel Aviv have been closed to traffic following the partial collapse of a building on Nachalat Binyamin Street. No physical injuries have been reported at this stage.

The closed junctions:

Herzl/Echad Ha'am

Nachalat Binyamin/Montefiore

Rothschild/Nachalat Binyamin

"Following the collapse of a structure on Nachalat Binyamin Street in Tel Aviv, officers from the Lev Tel Aviv station in the Yarkon District continue to operate at the scene in search efforts and in directing drivers," police said. "The public is asked to follow the instructions of officers at the scene and to choose alternative routes."

Yarkon District Commander Chief Superintendent Tzachi Sharabi arrived at the collapse site and said: "Right now we are busy making sure there are no people trapped inside the building, securing the scene and investigating. We are also focused on evacuating the population living near the building, to make sure we have no additional trapped people and no danger of the building collapsing. That is our goal, to create a situation where we understand there are no trapped people and to return this street to normal operation."
