A 53-year-old teacher from Zichron Yaakov was evacuated Tuesday from Nahal Kziv in northern Israel after falling during a school trip with her students.
The teacher, who was hiking with her class near Park Goren, fell from standing height and was injured. She suffered severe pain, and medics suspected an ankle fracture.
A medic from the rescue unit reached the injured woman in the field and provided initial medical treatment, including immobilization and an elastic bandage.
Volunteers from the unit then carried her on a stretcher through difficult terrain until they reached a Magen David Adom ambulance.
The teacher was evacuated to the Western Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya for further examination and treatment.
