IDF destroys 540 Hezbollah sites, finds 150 weapons in Lebanon

Forces from Division 91 have destroyed more than 540 Hezbollah terror infrastructure sites and uncovered over 150 weapons in a weeks-long operation across several villages in the security zone in southern Lebanon, the IDF announced.

The operation involved Brigades 300, 769, and 4, along with logistics forces under Division 91 command, working to remove threats to Israeli territory from the border area.

Troops operated in the villages of al-Khiam, Tayr Harfa, Mis al-Jabal and Majdal Zoun, all located within the security zone established under the ceasefire agreement.

The weapons uncovered included grenades, rockets, RPG missiles, anti-tank missiles, long-range anti-tank missiles, artillery weapons, launchers, Kalashnikov rifles, explosives, rifles, handguns, light weapons and ammunition magazines, according to the IDF.

The 540 destroyed sites included weapons storage facilities and other terror infrastructure built by Hezbollah in the border villages.

Engineering forces from the Logistics Brigade and the Gefen Battalion of Training Base 1 took part in the operation, locating weapons and dismantling terror infrastructure throughout the security zone.

The IDF Spokesperson's Office said the military "will not allow the Hezbollah terror organization to harm the citizens of the State of Israel and its forces, and will continue to act to remove threats and remain committed to the ceasefire agreement."
