Foreign election interference affair

Shin Bet sought to question another MK

David Zini requested to question Joint List chairman Yosef Jabareen under caution, joining four other Arab party heads. Attorney General Baharav-Miara agreed there is reasonable suspicion against Ayman Odeh, but not against the others

Shin Bet chief David Zini has requested to question Joint List chairman MK Yosef Jabareen under caution as part of the investigation into suspected foreign interference in Israeli elections, i24News correspondent Avishai Grinzweig reported Sunday evening.

With the current request, Zini has now sought to question under caution all the heads of the Arab parties: Jabareen joins Ta'al chairman Ahmad Tibi, Balad chairman Sami Abu Shehadeh, Ra'am chairman Mansour Abbas, and former Hadash chairman Ayman Odeh.

According to the report, during a meeting of senior law enforcement officials, Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara agreed that there is reasonable suspicion against Odeh that justifies questioning him. However, she argued that as of now there is no reasonable suspicion justifying the questioning of the other Arab MKs.
