Two people lost their lives in separate traffic accidents across Israel over the weekend. A 40-year-old woman riding an all-terrain vehicle was killed in a hit-and-run incident near the Gaza border area, while a 93-year-old man died from injuries sustained in a collision on Highway 4 near the Ra'anana junction.

In the Gaza border area incident, the woman was struck by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene. MDA paramedics who arrived at the location pronounced her dead at the scene after finding her with severe injuries.

The elderly victim was involved in a three-vehicle collision on Highway 4 near Ra'anana. MDA teams treated him at the scene and transported him to Meir Hospital in critical condition with a head injury. Despite medical efforts, he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to MDA reports, the woman killed in the Gaza border area was a foreign worker. Paramedics and EMTs treated her at the scene and rushed her to Soroka Medical Center in critical condition with multi-system trauma while performing resuscitation efforts. She was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

MDA paramedic Guy Almaikes and senior EMT Dov Markowitz described the scene: "We found the ATV rider lying beside the road, unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing. We provided advanced medical treatment including prolonged resuscitation efforts and evacuated her to the hospital in critical condition, where her death was pronounced."
